Hi everyone,

On 10th of June 2014, we launched a new shorter and sharper domain ending, .uk. It became part of the .UK domain family, joining .co.uk, .org.uk, and .me.uk.

At the time of the launch, we gave owners of existing .co.uk, .org.uk, and .me.uk domains (registered before 28th of October 2013) five years to register the corresponding .uk domain name. This was referred to as the registrant having the 'right of registration' to the matching .uk domain extension.

In other words, if you registered mysite.co.uk before the 28th of October 2013, your equivalent .uk domain, so mysite.uk have been reserved for you.

The deadline to claim your reserved .uk domain names will be ended at 6am BST (UTC+1) on 25th of June 2019.

After 1st of July 2019 any reserved .uk domain names that haven't been registered will be released into the public domain and can be registered by anyone. This means they will be available on a first come, first served basis.

If you want to register your reserved .uk domain name, please press the following link How to Register additional domain names.

If you have any questions or enquiries regarding .uk domain name
, please don't hesitate to open a support ticket.

Thank you for reading this news.
